Top 10 Global Brands of 2015.

The Millward Brown’s Brandz top 100 brands list provides strong evidence to the importance of branding for the market leaders. Brandz’s latest report is based on the valuation of the world’s most successful, 100 international brands. The 2006 list was comprised of 54 brands from South America whilst it has come down to 50 in 2015.

On a continental level, the list included 19 brands from Europe, 5 from Britain, with 12 from both Asia and Australia. 14 brands in the list belong to China.

Apple has achieved the highest brand value this time from its second position last year, overtaking Google. Its brand value has increased 67{c8e7245b8ab68c565aad156e68e78729a90ed3dd91ad3177b3c5a92377d109db} since then, thanks to the phenomenal net profits generated by the launch of iPhone 6 this year. This is to be noted that Apple was not even in the top 10 brands list ten years ago, and now it has settled at nothing less than the top spot.

Google fell down to second position this year. Fact has it that its investments in future initiatives have caused fewer revenues lately. However, there is a good chance that it might bounce back to number 1 position in a matter of few years.

Microsoft, Marlboro and IBM were a part of the first list of the top International brands formed in 2006 and have maintained their position in this list too. The automobile category is ruled by Toyota with Nike being the topper amongst the branded clothing list.

The report revealed that these top 100 brands value has risen 14{c8e7245b8ab68c565aad156e68e78729a90ed3dd91ad3177b3c5a92377d109db} year on year and are now worth 3.3 trillion dollars.
