Marvia Malik: Pakistan’s First Transgender News Anchor Appears on TV

Upon landing her first job, Marvia Malik was moved to tears. Today, being a transgender hasn’t become a hurdle to her dreams and career. She’s getting featured internationally. After CNN, here’s BBC News doing the story on her. 21 years of age and following her dream of a journalist.

Kohenoor News is the first Pakistani channel who hired transgender as a news reader. Marvia Malik has graduated and recently been hired in the team as a newscaster in Koh Noor’s news. Marviah Malik has appeared on screen as a newscaster for the first time but she is not new in the showbiz.

She has also been modeling before in Pakistani showbiz industry. Marvia Malik has graduated from Punjab University in journalism. She said that when I heard about Kohe Noor News relaunching then I decided to apply for this post.

I am also the first transgender model of Pakistan. The fashion show was held in Lahore recently, in which I also participated. Marvia said that Our community should get equal rights to men and women.
