LHC turned down the request to unblock YouTube
Lahore High Court refused to temporarily restore access of YouTube again in the Pakistan on Thursday.
Justice Mansoor Ali Shah of the LHC ordered the Ministry of Information Technology to form suggestions to block access to material based on blasphemy on the internet in Pakistan and inform the court about them on 25 July.
A representative of the ministry told that it was a sensitive issue and the reopening of Youtube can cause unrest in Pakistan.
YouTube had been Banned in Pakistan on September 17, 2012 on the Orders of Prime Minister Raja Pervez Ashraf.
Raja Pervez Ashraf had imposed the ban after YouTube refused the government to remove a ‘blasphemous’ film from the website.
