Karachi University Admission Test Conduction Under N.T.S Becomes Controversial

After the decision of 18 Department’s admission test conduct under N.T.S, University administration seems to put the burden of additional expenses of National Testing Service on students .Karachi University teachers condemned this decision of UoK administration, and also said they will not provide database of their subjects if the admission test will be conducted under the N.T.S.

National testing service will amount of 750 from each student per subject, if the student wants to participate in more than one Department’s admission test so he has to pay more 750 Rs more.

 The cost of prospectus (Booklet for guidance) is not included in this. Last year 1500 Rs were fixed for all test based departments but this year if students wish to participate in 5 department’s admission test so he would have to pay Rs 3750 while the price of admission form is additional.

Some senior teachers of University of Karachi criticized the decision of the Management   conducting the test of 18 different departments by N.T.S instead of themselves.

The N. T. S.’s professional expertise has become a question mark .According to a senior professor if the University administration is capable to conduct the MS / PhD Admission Test on her own behalf then why they can’t these tests.
