Like Romeo and Juliet and Julius Caesar and Cleopatra, the power couple of Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie too has always been an epitome of love for most of us.
The famous Hollywood couple met on the sets of Mr. and Mrs. Smith in 2004 but it was not until 2014 when they tied the knot in a private ceremony amidst friends and family. Brangelina has come a long way through: They are parents to 6 children with 3 of them adopted legally.
Many must think that a relationship so picture perfect might just be that: perfect. However, there is always more to it than meets the eye. Every relation has its ups and downs; Brangelina too had to struggle just as much as any ordinary couple to work on their relationship to make it what it is today.
We have an evident example in what Brad tells us:
“Angelina got very sick. She suddenly turned into a ball of nerves due to the problems in her personal life with children and because of the failures she had to face temporarily in her working life. She had dropped 30 pounds and weighted a mere 90 pounds at 35. She had gotten super skinny and was constantly sniveling. She was a deeply sad woman then.
She suffered from constant headaches and her heart ached, and the nerves of her back and ribs jammed every once in a while. She had to endure serious insomnia, only falling asleep in the morning and got fatigued during the day easily.
I could predict an imminent apocalypse for our relationship; her beauty had withered and she had terrible eye bags. She had long stopped looking after herself. She refused to shoot films and rejected any role offered to her. From a beautiful, confident actress she was a pitiable disaster! I thought that we would be divorcing soon.
But then I contemplated over things and decided not only to put up with her in her difficult times but also to work on it. She is, after all the most beautiful woman on earth: an idol for more than half of the men and women on earth. I was blessed to have someone like her; she had graced my life with her presence and I got to sleep next to her every night and hug her at every little thing.
I decided to put things to right: I showered her with flowers, kisses and compliments. I surprised her and strived to please her every minute. I pampered her with a lot of gifts and devoted myself solely to her: She was all I talked about in public and I never failed to praise her in front of all.
Much to my surprise, she got her shine back and blossomed into an even better person than before. She quickly gained weight and was confident once again. And, the cherry on the top was that she loved me more than before. I could never have guessed her extent of love for me.
It was then that I realized the most important lesson of life: A woman is the reflection of her man.
Quoting Brad Pitt himself, “If you love her to the point of madness, she will become it.”
